EMS400
Option:
• Weather Covers
• Airflow switch
• Wall mount enclosure
• On line calibration systems
The EMS400 is a high performance Opacity
Monitoring System with Double-Pass Transmissometer
The stack mounting transmissometer sensor system
consists of an optical transceiver mounted on
one side of the stack and a retro reflector mounted
on the other. The main light source is electronically
modulated making it insensitive to ambient light
effect and projects a collimated beam of light
which is split into a reference beam and a measurement
beam. The ratio-measurement technique provides
continuous automatic compensation for variations
in light source intensity to ensure prolonged
instrument accuracy and stability.
The measurement beam is projected across the
stack to a retro reflector which reflects it
back across the stack to the measurement detector.
The output of the measurement and reference detectors
are transmitted to the control room mounted monitoring
unit where all output signals are analyzed.
Manual On-Line zero and span calibration
An optional on-line reflector kit is available.
The dedicated model the reflector is calibrated
to the clear condition and locked in place. Each
is serial numbered to match the opacity monitor
system. A slot is provided for Neutral Density
filters to check the low, mid and up scale calibration.
Non-Dedicated model is usable on any EMS opacity
monitor.
Swing Away Sensor
The swing away sensors make cleaning the windows
a breeze and for on-line testing. Both sensors
have alignment pins to assure no change in
alignment after the sensor has been open and
closed. Large heavy duty latches make for an
air and water tight seal. The sensors are attached
to the air plenum by two drop on pivot pins.
This makes for easy installation and should
service ever be required easy removal, just
swing open and lift off the pivot pins.
Alignment system:
The Tranceiver includes a built-in TTL (through-the-lens)
alignment system. The alignment target can
be viewed through a window on the transceiver.
Adjustments to changes in alignment are provided
by a 3 point alignment system which is integral
to the air plenum. |
